If I could kiss every one of these rocks and trees
I would roam all over this valley
Drinking from the streams till my soul feels clean
And I could go home

Every once in a while when my mind gets quiet
And there ain't no difference between sound and sight
I can feel that river welling up from inside
And it takes me home
Take me home

When the earth comes a-tumbling down
You will see beneath my skin
I will be a dirty devil
Wrapped in a shroud of sin
When the stars come a-tumbling down
Will you turn your back on them?
It's hard to find a clear path now
In this noise, oh the din
